_ __ ___ ____ _____ _______________________________________________ _____ ____ ___ __ _ - -- --- BBA100 Updatesoftware - Installation via SW-Update --- -- - _ __ ___ ____ _____ _______________________________________________ _____ ____ ___ __ _ Activating the Update-Mode of the BBA100: ========================================= 1. When updating from SW versions up to incl. 1.13.1: Activate the Update-Mode of the BBA100 via its menu "System"/"System Software": Switch the menu item "Bundle Update" to the value "Quick Mode" or "Live Mode". Attention: Steps 2-6 must be executed within a time span of 90 seconds, otherwise the menu utem "Bundle Update" will get set back to the value "Disabled" automatically. When updating from SW versions starting from incl. 1.13.2: Activating the Update-Mode of the BBA100 is not necessary as it is automatically activated at system startup. Starting the update on your Windows-PC connected to the BBA100 via LAN: ======================================================================= 2. Start the update software "BBA100_V1.20.1.exe" 3. In the now displayed window continue by pressing the "Next >"-button. 4. In the now displayed window (Packages-dialog) press the "Options"-button. In the now displayed window make sure that in the "TCP/IP Settings and URL" the option "Enable Port No. 17" is activated. Afterwards close this windows by pressing the button "OK". 5. Leave the Packages-dialog by pressing the "Next >"-button. 6. In the now displayed window (Device-List-Dialog) you should now see all BBA100-devices, for which the Update-Mode was activated (see step 1). Attention: If you can not see your desired BBA100-device, then you have to make sure, that the Update-Mode on the BBA100 was activated (see step 1) and that you activated Port 17 in the options of the update software (see step 4). If your desired BBA100-device still can not be seen, then it can help to go to the "Options" dialogue again, press the "Add URL"-button there, directly enter the IP-address of your BBA100-device there and then try to find the device again by pressing the "Rescan"-button. If your desired BBA100-device still can not be seen and you have installed a SW version up to incl. 1.13.1, then it might help on the BBA100 to set the "Bundle Update" to "Disabled" again and just right after that again to "Quick Mode" or "Live Mode" again and finally try to find the device again by pressing the "Rescan"-button in the update software once more. 7. Select the BBA100-devices you wish to update and afterwards start the SW-update by pressing the button "Install". While the update is processed you can see the current status of the update on the BBA100 in the line "Update in progress" of the menu "System"/"System Software". Activating the new SW on the BBA100: ==================================== 8. In case of having selected "Live Mode" in step 1, there will be displayed a matching message box on the BBA100 after successful completion of the SW-Update. To finally complete the SW-update and therefore activating the new SW, the BBA100 has to get completely restarted using the MAINS-switch. In case of having selected "Quick Mode" in step 1, the BBA100 will be restarted automatically after successful completion of the SW-Update. 9. When starting the system, the software checks whether a firmware update of the (amplifier) modules is necessary or not (e.g. after a SW-update or after replacing an amplifier module). In case of firmware update being necessary these update are executed automatically accompanied by progress information on the frontpanel display. After successful completion of the firmware updates or in case of no firmware update being necessary the software of the BBA100 then conitnues to start up into the System-Standby-mode.
